Employer Services

Hiring the right people is critical to the success of any business. That’s where we come in – connecting employers to skilled and motivated candidates looking for work. COSTI’s professional staff take the time to understand each employer’s unique staffing needs, identify the best candidate to meet those needs, and monitor the placement on an ongoing basis to ensure satisfaction.

COSTI has been working with refugees to help them find work for over 20 years. We assist them in creating a resume; filling out job applications and employer forms, helping prepare for job interviews, explaining employer expectations; and telling them about available apprenticeship opportunities.

If you are an employer and interested in interviewing and hiring refugees and Syrian newcomers, please click on any of the employer services below to find a location near you.

Employment Programs for Newcomers and Internationally Trained Individuals

COSTI has extensive expertise and experience in operating successful employment programs aimed specifically at assisting internationally trained individuals to obtain meaningful employment. COSTI’s Employment Programs for Newcomers and Internationally Trained Individuals address the unique needs of newcomers to Canada by supporting them in seeking employment in their chosen profession or trade. As newcomers come to Canada, they bring with them new ideas, energy, skills, resources, and a strong desire to succeed and contribute to their new country. In order to contribute, they must first be given the opportunity to develop the tools needed to secure employment in their new country.
